Indy woman buys $500,000 scratch-off ticket


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An Indianapolis woman decided to buy a pair of scratch-off tickets at Hoosier Lottery headquarters cost $500,000.

Joyce Griffin — who bought a pair of $10 $5,000 Frenzy Multiplier tickets on last Wednesday – just got home from lunch with husband Bob, and Joyce scratched off the tickets. She could not believe what she saw, Fox59 reports.

“What does that look like to you?” she asked her husband.

Soon, they realize they’d won the prize which worth for the $500,000 and went back to lottery headquarter to claim the prize hours after buying the tickets.

Joyce even said that she already has a plan to pay off bills and buy her husband a new truck for his birthday. They are also considering using the money to take some trips.

According to the lottery, two top prizes of $500,000 remain on the $10 $5,000 Frenzy Multiplier Scratch-off as of February 23. The estimated overall odds of a winning prize are 1 in 3.60.
